Another feature

I know two of these received Daily Deviations, & they deserved it.

This short story by PaperbackRevelations is one of my favorite pieces of literature in the world.

It's beautiful & sad & intriguing all at the same time.

You'll love it, trust me.

curioushis parents called him will, a condensed version for william. to me, "will" was the constant friday nights of his curved thighbone in the midnight air against mine, and scintillating neon lights and 80's music that was etched inside our pupils like crossfires.
david bowie was singing to me through my headphones, and i mumbled to him about will and my uneven forehead, (my skin wasn't clear anymore, either) and how will and i held hands in public restaurants and how my lips were so chapped that they peeled when we first kissed-- but i was seventeen, i had purple constellations doodled on my french homework, and during algebra class i sketched green eyes with thick black eyelashes that were distinctly his.
their expectations of you were standard by their own means--they wanted a husky boy with aftershave smeared on the palms on his hands, and on saturdays they imagined you with black oil decorated on your cheeks like a lit up christmas tree holding up your hands and furiously kicking <i>

Curious by delirious-eyes is another favorite of mine.

It's heartbreaking & makes you question yourself.

It's a work of perfection

and then the gods come forth       your lips were bleeding ichor,
as you dreamt beneath the universe
and i thought to myself...
  i. head underwater, they watch you
with cassiopeia eyes as you
seep into her star-stricken skin
   ii. we carved our names in hearts
on the flesh of dryads, arms
branched out, head full of sky
ever-expanding, infinity between

but falling leaves

storm tucked behind your ears, and
oblivion in the corners of your lips
the summer heat is getting to your head

with the drip-drip-dripping melody

I remember that one of SpiderwebWisher's works was an inspiration towards a poem I wrote, & this is another great poem. <3

leo:1. there is no center of the universe.
there is you. there is you and every time i look at you,
i figure out all over again that miracles
exist, because you are not anything someone could ever
repeat—you are a mess of perfectly executed mistakes
